Procedure to Update HTC Sensation with ICS Android 4.0.3 Firmware:
- Before proceeding, you need to first ensure that you will have Rooted HTC Sensation.
- Assuming that you have rooted your HTC Sensation smartphone, you now need to Download ICS Android 4.0.3 Custom ROM firmware from here to your computer and with the help of USB cable, connect the phone to the computer in the mass storage mode.
- Copy the downloaded zip file to the SD Card of your phone and remove the connected USB cable to turn off your phone for entering the device in the recovery mode.
- Turn Off your phone, press the Volume Down button and press Power button to start the phone. Now, once the phone gets ON, select “Boot loader” by pressing the Power button.
- Now, in the recovery mode you will have to back up the existing Working ROM and select Backup and Restore to select Backup. In recovery mode select “Wipe data/factory reset” & “Wipe Cache partition” so that this will clear the cache.
- Now, you need to select “install zip from sd card” > “choose zip from sd card” after which you need to select the placed ICS Android 4.0.3 Package.
Note: Restore all the data which you have backed up. Also, most importantly you need to ensure that you have configured the APN Settings in your phone so as to access the Internet in your phone.
