HTC One SV Android 4.2 & Sense 5.0 Rolling Out – Details, How to Update

The HTC One SV Android smartphone is getting the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS update and this has begun from the European countries, starting from Croatia. The OS update is coming along with the Sense 5 from HTC for the interface, and the software update version v3.11.401.1 brings not many changes to the actual OS but the interface is changed, and there are a few important enhancements and bug fixes.

As HTC hasn’t included a list of changes, one can expect to see most of the features that were included in the Sense 5 update for the other HTC smartphones, and this includes the quick settings in the notification panel, the lock screen widgets and improvements in the performance of the smartphone. It is still good to see that HTC is concentrating on the OS updates to the Android phones which do not have a high-end processor and comes with the mid-range specs.

Recently, HTC had sent out the updates to the HTC One X and HTC One X+ smartphones and it was the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update sent, but the HTC One S users might have to settle with their current OS version because HTC has confirmed that the smartphone will not be getting any further Jelly Bean updates.

Update HTC One SV to Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2

Since this is an OTA update, you might be seeing a notification directly on your home screen whenever the update is ready for downloading for your phone, or you can manually search for the update by going to Settings > About > Software Updates > Check now and the phone would connect to the Internet and check whether any new update is available.

The size of the update file is around 431.05 MB and thus you need to make sure that the phone is connected to the Internet via Wi-Fi for downloading the update. There is no need to use any computer based syncing software or suite to check for the update. Even the LTE variant users can also check for the update as both the LTE and international variants are receiving the Jelly Bean update.
