Huawei G9 Lite & MediaPad M2 7.0 with 3GB RAM and Fingerprint Sensor Launched

Huawei has been aggressively launching smartphones in the recent past to grab the market in various parts of the world. The company has also scheduled an event for May 10th, where it is expected to launch its flagship under the Honor brand called as Huawei Honor V8. Now, Huawei has unveiled two new devices called as Huawei G9 Lite and Huawei MediaPad M2 7.0 in China. The G9 Lite comes with similar specifications like the P9 Lite but is launched with a different name in China. While the MediaPad M2 7.0 is a tablet that offers more than decent features.

Let’s talk about the devices in detail:

The Huawei G9 Lite flaunts a 5.2-inch (1080×1920 pixels) full-HD with In-Cell display that offers a pixel density of 424ppi. Under the hood, the device comes powered by 64-bit Kirin 650 octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz for the China Unicom variant while the other networks option comes with Snapdragon 617 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz. It has 3GB of RAM, 16GB of built-in storage and also includes a microSD card slot for further expansion upto 128GB. The device supports dual sim dual standby and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based EMUI 4.1 overlaid.

It includes standard connectivity options like 4G-LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and microUSB 2.0 port. On the photography front, the smartphone sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture and an 8MP front-facing camera for video chats and selfie lovers. It features a full-metal unibody design and includes a fingerprint sensor at the back of the unit that can unlock the device in just 0.5 seconds. The handset powers a 3000mAh battery that is rated to offer upto 12 hours of talk time and upto 320 hours of standby time.

The Huawei MediaPad M2 7.0 features a 7-inch (1920×1200 pixels) full-Hd display with 323ppi as pixel density and Huawei’s ClariVu 2.0 color enhancement technology. Under the hood, it packs Snapdragon 615 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz paired with Adreno 405 GPU and 3GB of RAM. The tablet sports a fingerprint sensor on the right edge of the device for enhanced security. The tablet has 16GB/32GB of internal storage and also includes that can be further expanded to 128GB via microSD card slot.

On the camera cordon, the tablet sports a 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, LED flash and a 5MP front shooter for selfie clicks. It supports dual sim dual standby with 4G-LTE and other basic connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB 2.0 port with OTG functionality. The device comes backed by a 4360mAh battery that can easily take you through the of mixed usage. The Huawei MediaPad M2 7.0 runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based EMUI 4.1 overlaid and comes in White, Blue, Gold and Pink color options.

Coming to the pricing, the Huawei G9 Lite is priced at 1,599 Yuan for the Kirin 650 SoC variant while the Snapdragon 617 SoC variant costs 1,699 Yuan. On the other hand, The Mediapad M2 7.0 tablet is priced at 1,599 Yuan for 16GB storage variant and 1,799 Yuan for 32GB storage variant. The Huawei G9 Lite is up for registrations till May 12th, and the sales start on May 13th via major Chinese retailers.
