After showing the first glimpses of the Honor Holly X1 tablet at the Honor 6 launch last month, Huawei on Tuesday officially introduced the phone for the Indian market. Huawei is the 3rd largest smartphone brand in the world. Huawei recently became the first Chinese brand to rank in Interbrand’s 2014 Annual Best Global Brands Report at no. 94. Huawei is one of the five new entrants to enter the top 100 Best Global Brands ranking this year.
The Honor Holly X1 sports a 7-inch IPS display with the resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. The phone is powered by 1.6 GHz quad-core processor with Mali 400 GPU and coupled with a 1GB RAM. It runs on Android v4.2 (Jelly Bean) with Huawei’s Emotion UI on top. The Honor Holly X1 has an aluminium body combined with Nano Dull Polish. The Honor X1 will be available in Diamond White colour.
On its camera front, Honor Holly X1 sports a 13MP rear camera with a large F2.2 diaphragm, Hybrid IR Flash and 5 Lens LED Flash. It has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Huawei has also included the features such as 10-level auto-facial enhancement and voice-activated hands-free capture in the tablet. At 7.18mm thin, this tablet is one of the slimmest devices in the market. Huawei X1 comes with Multi-screen feature that lets you enjoy your favourite media on a Television.
Honor Holly X1 offers a huge 5,000 mAh Li-Po embedded battery. Various connectivity options have been provided such as 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, Bluetooth, and GPS, but NFC is missing. Sensors such as Accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass are present in the tablet. It has 16GB internal memory which is expandable via microSD card lot.
X1 tab is priced at Rs. 19,999 /- and will be exclusively available via Flipkart starting October 16. At this point and feature this tablet will compete with Apple iPad mini, Google Nexus 7, and Samsung Galaxy Note3 Neo.
Along with the Holly Honor X1, Huawei also launched Honor Holly smartphone. Honor Holly is a smartphone in the sub-7K Rs segment, offering the 5” (12.7 cm) IPS HD screen, large 16GB memory, dual camera, and quad-core processor. It would compete with Redmi 1S, Moto E and Android One devices.
