After Intex, Lava and Micromax, iBall has entered the 4G space with a new smartphone, dubbed as Cobalt Solus 4G. After being listed on the company site earlier this month, the iBall Cobalt Solus 4G was launched in India on Monday at a price of Rs. 11,999. It is available via online and offline retail channels.
The Cobalt Solus 4G flaunts a 5-inch (720×1280 pixels) HD IPS display offering a pixel density of 294ppi and comes powered by Cortex-A53 quad-core processor clocked at 1GHz with ARM Mali-T720 GPU and 2GB RAM. The device has 16GB onboard storage with microSD card support for expansion upto 64GB. As far as the connectivity is concerned it has the dual sim dual standby support with 4G LTE connectivity and other basic connectivity options like Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS and microUSB 2.0.
It sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and an 8MP front snapper for video calling and selfie lovers. The device boasts 2000mAh battery and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. It also comes with an additional feature of HotKnot file transfer technology, which is similar to near field communications (NFC) in terms of application. The handset will be available in two colors- White and Black, and as it is listed on company’s website, it is sure to hit the market in coming days.
iBall recently launched a new entry-level smartphone in its Andi series called iBall Andi 4.5 O’Buddy. It features a 4.5-inch (480×854 pixels) FWVGA display and comes powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3Ghz coupled with 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage and microSD card support for expansion upto 32GB. It sports an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 3.2MP selfie shooter and comes with basic connectivity options like 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and microUSB port. Andi 4.5 O’Buddy comes packed with 1800mAh battery and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS out of the box. The entry-level smartphone also comes with a bundled smart cover and is priced at Rs. 4,990.
