The U.S based smartphone manufacturer Infocus launched the pocket-friendly Infocus M370 smartphone a couple of months ago priced at Rs. 5,299. Now, the company is all set to launch the successor of the M370 called as Infocus M372 in Taiwan. There is not much change in the design of the M372, and it looks almost similar to earlier launched M370.
Coming to its specifications, the Infocus M372 flaunts a 5-inch (720×1280 pixels) HD IPS display with pixel density of 294ppi. The smartphone comes powered by same Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor as seen on the M370. The smartphone comes with 2GB RAM, 16GB of built-in storage which is double when compared to 1GB RAM and 8GB onboard storage seen on the M370. It also includes a microSD card slot for expansion of memory upto 64GB.
Talking about the camera, the device sports an 8MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front-facing camera for video calling and selfie images. The smartphone supports dual sim dual standby and comes with connectivity options like 4G-LTE, VoLTE calls for Asia Pacific Telecom users, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB port. The company touts that once unveiled M372 will become one of the most affordable 4G handset available in the market.
The handset comes backed by a 2000mAh battery and runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box. The Infocus M372 will first rollout in Taiwan and is expected to launch in January 2016. The company did not reveal any details about the launch of the upcoming smartphone in India, but like other Infocus devices, we can also expect the brand to launch the new smartphone in India. To recap, Infocus has recently launched a mid-range smartphone called as Infocus M680 in India. The smartphone comes with an all-metal body and is available for sale exclusively via Snapdeal priced at Rs. 10,999. The M680 features a 5.5-inch full-HD display, MediaTek MT6753 octa-core SoC, 2GB RAM, 16GB of onboard storage, 13MP rear and front shooter, 4G-LTE connectivity and 2600mAh battery. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based InLife 2.0 UI out of the box.
