Procedure to install Gingerbread Stock Launcher on Cyanogen Mod 7 ROM:
- Before proceeding you will have to ensure that the USB Debugging should be enabled, the USB Debugging can be enabled from the path “Applications” then to “Settings” and then choose “Applications” then “Development” and then choose the “USB debugging” option to enter the same.
- After this you will have to extract the insta adb zip file which you have downloaded from the above link to your C Drive which is C:\insta-adb\.
- Now, you will have to extract the Launcher 2 file from here and then copy the Launcher2.apk file to the folder of install-adb folder that is to the path C:\insta-adb\Launcher2.apk.
- To return back to the original stock launcher of the Cyanogen mod 7, you will have to follow the step which is mentioned below and then if you wish to again have the Gingerbread launcher then you can follow the above instruction.
- Now, after this you will have to connect the phone with the help of USB cable and then go to insta-adb folder (i.e C:\insta-adb\ and run the “restore-gingerbread-launcher.bat” file. After that you will see that the Command prompt will be opened up and will run the background commands automatically in which you will have to enter in the commands which are mentioned below,
adb-windows.exe devices
adb-windows.exe remount
adb-windows.exe push Launcher2.apk /system/app/Launcher2.apk
adb-windows.exe shell mv /system/app/ADWLauncher.apk /system/app/ADWLauncher.apk.orig
adb-windows.exe shell mv /system/app/Launcher2.apk /system/app/ADWLauncher.apk
adb-windows.exe devices
adb-windows.exe reboot recover
And there you go, you have now successfully learnt on how you can flip between the official Gingerbread launcher and the ADW launcher of the Cyanogen mod 7.
