Jet Custom ROM is the new custom ROM firmware which can now be used by all the users of Micromax A60 as in the due course of this article we will be checking on how to apply this all new custom ROM for your phone. Please note that this custom ROM firmware is not an official firmware released by Micromax officially and for applying this, you need to root your phone and install the Clock Work Mod recovery in your phone. Once you root the device, the warranty of the device gets void and the only way with which you can reclaim the lost warranty is by applying the factory firmware again which we will be coming up with very shortly.
All thanks to Varun Chitre who has built this firmware. Though this is the beta version of firmware, there will be some bugs, just in case if there are any bugs which you encounter with then do report us in the comments section.

So before we proceed, we will first check out on what are the list of pre requisites you need to follow and then we will check out on how to apply the firmware in your device by following a simple tutorial mentioned in the next page.
Pre Requisites:
- All the data present in your phone should be backed up so that just in case if the data gets lost or corrupted, the same can be restored easily.
SMS – Use “SMS Backup & Restore app”,
Contacts – Sync with the Gmail application,
Call Log – Call Log and Restore
Songs, Videos, Files – Copy to internal / External SD Card,
APN and MMS Settings – Note down from the path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names”
- Enable the USB Debugging Mode in your phone from the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging. Ensure that the USB Debugging option is ticked as shown in the below screen capture.
- Minimum charge left in the device should be the minimum of 60% so as to ensure that the device doesn’t get turned Off in the middle of updation process.
So assuming that you have followed all the instructions mentioned above, you can now proceed to the next step with which you can install the custom Recovery image in your phone.
