Procedure to Install Touch based Clock Work mod recovery in your HTC One S:
- First up you need to ensure that you have unlocked the HTC Bootloader from the Official HTC Developer Website. Once you have successfully unlocked the Bootloader, all you need to do is to just download the Fastboot Files and Clock Work Mod recovery image file which is named as “r1-modaco-recovery-clockwork-touch-endeavoru.img.”
- Now, extract the fastboot.zip which you have downloaded to get the 4 files. After this, you need to copy the CWM recovery file r1-modaco-recovery-clockwork-touch-endeavoru.img, to the same folder where you extracted the 4 files from fastboot.zip.
- Now, you need to copy the CWM recovery file r1-modaco-recovery-clockwork-touch-endeavoru.img to the same folder. So, in all you can see the 5 files.
- Open the command prompt in your computer and then select the location of the folder where you have extracted. Now, you need to turn Off your device so that it can then be entered in the fastboot mode.
- The Boot loader mode in HTC One S can be entered by pressing Volume UP Key + OK button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button to select the fastboot mode with the Volume button and press the power button to select the same.
- Now, connect the device to the computer in the fastboot mode while keeping the Command prompt open and then in the command prompt you need to type in as “Fastboot devices” in the command prompt after which you will see that the device will be listed in the command prompt.
- Now, to apply the recovery image, you need to type in the command as “fastboot flash recovery r1-modaco-recovery-clockwork-touch-endeavoru.img”
- Once the process is completed, you will see that the device will be rebooted and if device lands up in the recovery mode, then you will have to select the option of reboot system now for rebooting the device.
- So, to boot the device in the recovery mode, you first need to power Off the device and boot he device in the boot loader mode. To boot into the recovery mode easily, you need to install the quick boot application from the Google PLAY Store and then you can boot your device One S in the recovery mode. Please note that you need to ensure that the device is rooted so as to make use of Quick Boot app.
