Procedure to install Clock Work Mod, Voodoo Lag fix and also Root Samsung Droid Charge:
- First up you will have to download the All in One Zip File where in you will find a tar file along with the Odin file which we will see on how you can use the same. Please note that as soon as you download the zip file, you will have to unzip the same to the desktop. Since the zip file is the password protected file, you will be prompted to enter the password to unzip the file. To unzip the same, you will have to enter the password as androidadvices.com and no other password should be entered or else the file won’t be unzipped.
- As you can see in the below screen shot that there will be two files in all.
- Now, after this you will have to open the Odin Flash tool which you will have to ensure that you have turned On your device in the download mode. The download mode can be entered by first ensuring that the phone is turned Off and as soon as the phone is turned Off, just remove the battery. Now, just hold the Volume Down button after which while holding Volume Down, reinsert the battery and wait for the phone to display a boot screen saying “Downloading” or “Download Mode” which will mean that the device has now entered into the download mode. Please note that if the device boots in the normal mode with the home screen then retry the process and if despite retrying you are unable to get into download mode then you will have to fix the download mode error for your phone.
- Now, you need to click on the PDA tab and after that select the file which is named as “VoodooChargeKernel4.tar.md5”. Select the same and without changing any other variables, just click on the Start tab to start the rooting process. So, as soon as select the file, you will have to wait till the process is completed and don’t interrupt the process till the rooting process is completed.
That’s it you have successfully now not only rooted the Droid Charge but also you have successfully installed the Voodoo on your Droid Charge along with the installation of Clock Work MOD Recovery.
