The domestic smartphone manufacturer, Intex launched the Aqua Ace smartphone with more than decent specifications like 5-inch HD Super AMOLED display, MediaTek MT6735 SoC, 3GB RAM and 13MP camera and was also priced aggressively. Recently, the smaller variant of the Aqua Ace called as Intex Aqua Ace Mini was also listed on the company’s official website. Now, the brand has released yet another variant of the Aqua Ace called as Intex Aqua Ace II in India. The Aqua Ace II is priced at Rs. 8,999 and will be available for purchase via all the leading online and offline platforms across the country.
Commenting on the launch event, Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, Mobile Business Head, Intex Technologies, stated, “Intex has always kept pace with technology and brought the latest innovation in every hand. With Aqua ACE II, we are happy to offer Big Screen Experience to consumers with an inbuilt MHL Technology in the device. The smartphone is 4G-LTE, with a big battery and a multi-tasker, making the smartphone a true performer.”
In terms of specifications, the Intex Aqua Ace II features a 5-inch (1280×720 pixels) HD IPS display offering a pixel density of 294ppi and Gorilla Glass laid on top of it for protection. Under the hood, the smartphone houses 64-bit MediaTek MT6735 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz clubbed with Mali-T720 GPU and 3GB of RAM for lag-free and smooth performance. The smartphone has hybrid sim slot that lets you use microSD card instead of the second sim. The smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based company’s customized UI out of the box, and there is no information about the Android Marshmallow update.
On the camera cordon, the device is equipped with an 8MP autofocus primary camera with dual-tone LED flash and f/2.0 aperture when compared to the 13MP camera seen on the Intex Aqua Ace. On the front, it has a 5MP shooter with a f/2.4 aperture for video chats and crisp selfie images. Connectivity options on the dual sim dual standby supported smartphone include 4G-LTE with VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB 2.0 port. It comes with 16GB of built-in storage and also includes a microSD card slot for further expansion of memory.
The handset fuels a 3000mAh battery that the company claims is rated to deliver upto 8 hours of talk time and upto 200 hours of standby time. Like other Intex devices, he smartphone also comes with pre-loaded apps such as Matrabhasha, FOTA, Opera mini, Cloud and 360 Security. The dimensions of the smartphone measure 145.3 x 72 x 8.65 mm weighs around 149 grams and comes in White color option. Stay tuned for more updates on availability of the Aqua Ace II in coming days.
