How to Root & Install Custom Recovery Image in Intex AQUA i5 – Guide

Intex Aqua 5 smartphone can now be rooted so that even the apps which need root access can be installed successfully. So, before we proceed onto check on how you can root the device, you will need to follow the list of quick pre requisites which we have mentioned below and then followed by the list of detailed guide which will help you root the device.

Quick Pre Requisites:

  • Only with the help of below mentioned steps, it’s preferred to create a backup. Make sure that you are not making use of PC Suite for taking the backup as it may not help you restore the same.

SMS – Use “SMS Backup & Restore app”,
Contacts – Sync with the Gmail application,
Call Log – Call Log and Restore
Images, Songs, Videos, Files – Copy to internal / External SD Card,
APN and MMS Settings – Note down from the path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names

  • From the path “Settings > More > Development Options > USB debugging” enable the USB Debugging Mode.
  • Minimum charge left in your phone is 40% or else there is a risk of device getting turned off in the middle of rooting process.

Procedure to Root and Install Custom Recovery Image in Intex Aqua 5 smartphone:

  • Connect your device to the computer with the help of original USB cable. Once connected, you will need to extract the Rooting Package and open the “RunMe.bat” file in your computer.
  • Now, all you need to do is to select the option “1” and follow the on screen instructions for rooting the same. Just in case if you wish to unroot the same, it can be done with the help of the same tool.
  • For checking on whether the device is rooted or not, you will have to download the “Root Checker” app from the Google PLAY Store. Just in a rare case if the device is not rooted, you will have to root the same by following the above mentioned instructions.
  • Now, to install the Custom Recovery image, install “MobileUncle MTK Tool” in your device and open Mobile Uncle MTK Tool and click on “Update Recovery”.
  • Up next you will have to move the file which is “recovery.img” and place the same in the sd card. The whole process of rooting will take around 4 -5 minutes for applying the clock work recovery image and root the same.

Note: If the device gets into the boot loop sequence or say gets stuck in the welcome screen, just re insert the battery and re follow the above instructions so as to again follow the above mentioned instructions.

Once the Clockwork Mod recovery image is installed in the device, the phone will be rebooted. So there you go, you have now successfully rooted the device.
