The Indian manufacturer Intex has launched its latest budget smartphone Aqua style X in India. Few months back Intex had launched a series of Aqua Star phones that including Intex Aqua Star HD, Intex Aqua Star (2014) and Intex Aqua Star Power. These devices come with specifications that can compete with leading phones in the price segment under Rs. 10,000.
Intex Aqua style X sports a 4.5-inch qHD (960 × 540 pixels) capacitive touch screen display. The phone is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor with Mali 400 GPU coupled with 512MB RAM. It runs Android v4.4 KitKat OS, right out of the box.
The phone has a8 MP Auto Focus rear Camera with LED flash and has a 2MP front-facing camera. Intex Aqua X offers 1500 mAh battery embedded battery. Various connectivity options have been provided such as 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP and GPS. It comes with 4 GB of built-in memory that is expandable up to 32 GB with micro SD card. The smartphone measures 13.5×6.86×0.89cm in dimensions; weight of the device is not mentioned.
Aqua Style has an interesting feature for selfies shot; you can click selfies snap by just pressing volume up and down key of your phone. For security purpose, Intex has provided various types of locking and unlocking options such as swipe lock, slide lock, face unlock, voice unlock, pattern and pin. Aqua style X comes with gesture control feature; with the gesture of your hand you can change the songs, Images, FM, etc.
Keeping festive season in mind Indian manufacturers like Panasonic, Spice, Micromax, Karbonn, and Lava are bringing budget smartphones with great specs at affordable prices. All these brands have inked exclusive deals with various online retailers under which they are selling their phones at discounted prices.
Aqua style X is priced at Rs. 6890 but it has been listed for purchase by an e-commerce site Ebay India at Rs. 4,890. At this price point and feature, the smartphone will compete with Karbonn Titanium S19; Xiaomi Redmi 1s, Moto e, Moto g (1st generation), Honor Holly and Zenfone 5.
