Intex Aqua Style Pro was released in August this year and was added to the company’s aqua series. The device is an entry-level device mainly made for budget minded customers and is priced at Rs. 6990 in India. Intex is trying to make its name in the market and trying to compete against big smartphone makers like Samsung, HTC, and Sony. We have that the company released wide range of devices in the entry-level segment, and Intex Cloud FX is one of them, priced at Rs. 1999 that runs Firefox Operating system. It also launched many budget devices based on Android 4.4 KitKat.
Specifications
The Aqua Style Pro features a 4.5 inch FWVGA (480 x 854 pixels) touchscreen display. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat operating system out of the box, and it’s hard to expect any more software updates for it. The handset is powered with 1.2 GHz Quad core Broadcom BM23550M processor, coupled with 1 GB of RAM. The on-board memory of the device is at 8 GB that can be further extended up to 32 GB via microSD card slot. To power the device there is an 1800 mAh battery on the back. The Aqua Style Pro has an 8 MP rear facing camera with dual LED flash, and it is accompanied with 2 MP front facing camera. The device is a dual SIM variant and supports 3 G connectivity. Apart from these the device also has the connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and USB.
Design
The Intex Aqua Style Pro has a plastic kind of back that is removable and has bezels on the sides are small. The top and the bottom bezels could have been smaller. On the top we have a 2 MP front facing camera, beside which is the ear-piece. At the bottom, we can find the three capacitive touch-screen buttons. Towards the side, there is the power button on to the left and the volume rockers to the right. On the top, we can find the 3.5 audio jack and a USB port to transfer data and also to charge the device. On the back, we can see the 8 MP camera with Dual LED flash and little below is the company’s branding. At the bottom, we can find the speaker grills, and mic is also placed at the bottom.
Camera
Below are the camera samples of Intex Aqua Style Pro. And we feel that the device gave decent images, considering its pricing. The Dual LED camera that is installed also helped in giving out decent images. In complete darkness, the flash thrown was very high making the images very bright and far from the comfort.
Conclusion
The Intex Aqua Style Pro is a decent device for its pricing, but there are many other options for this price range, like the Asus ZenFone 4, Xiaomi 1S, Motorola Moto E and few others. We would like to see more improvement from the company in the future and come out with some high-end devices also.
