Intex Cloud Fame 4G with Android 6.0 Marshmallow Launched in India at Rs. 3,999

The domestic smartphone maker, Intex has launched many smartphones in the last couple of months targeting the budget users. Now, the company has launched a pocket-friendly 4G-LTE smartphone in its Cloud series called as Intex Cloud Fame 4G. It comes with all the entry-level specifications required in a smartphone and will be targeted towards the first-time users. The Cloud Fame is priced at Rs. 3,999 and is available for purchase online exclusively via Snapdeal.

Commenting at the launch event, Mr. Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, Mobile Business Head, Intex Technologies, said, β€œAt Intex, our endeavor has always been to bring the latest technology at an affordable price to consumers. Coming to the specifications part, the smartphone sports a 4.5-inch (854×480 pixels) FWVGA display offering a pixel density of 218ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 laid on top of it for protection. Under the hood, the smartphone comes powered by MediaTek MT6735M quad-core processor clocked at 1.0GHz clubbed with Mali-T720 GPU and 1GB of RAM. It supports dual sim dual standby with 4G-LTE and other basic connectivity options like 2G/3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and microUSB 2.0 port. The handset runs on latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow based company’s customized UI out of the box.

On the camera department, the smartphone sports a 5MP primary camera with autofocus, dual-tone LED flash and a 2MP front-facing camera for video calling and selfie images. It has 8GB of internal storage and also includes a microSD card slot for further expansion of memory upto 32GB. The smartphone powers an 1800mAh battery that is rated to deliver upto 7 hours of talk time and upto 270 hours of standby time. Like other Intex devices, the smartphone also comes with many bloatware apps and also supports 21 regional languages. Its dimensions measure 134.2 x 68 x 9 mm weighs around 120 grams and comes in Brown and Blue color variants.

A quick recall, Intex has recently launched an affordable smartphone in its Aqua series called as Intex Aqua Lions 3G priced at Rs. 4,990. The smartphone is named after the Intex-owned IPL team Gujarat Lions. The device features 5-inch HD display, Spreadtrum SC7731 1.2GHz quad-core SoC, 1GB RAM, 8GB onboard storage, 5MP rear camera and 2MP selfie shooter. The smartphone packs a massive 3500mAh battery and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.
