The India’s second largest smartphone manufacturer, Intex has today announced a new smartphone in its affordable Cloud series called as Intex Cloud Zest. The smartphone is currently listed on the brand’s official website for Rs. 4,999, but there is no word on the official launch of the device from the company.
Talking about the specifications, the Cloud Zest flaunts a 5-inch (720×1280 pixels) HD display offering a pixel density of 294ppi. Under the hood, it comes equipped with the Spreadtrum SC7731 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz coupled with 1GB of RAM. The device has 8GB of built-in storage out of which only 4.75GB is available to the end user, but it can be further expanded using a microSD card slot upto 32GB.
On the camera front, the smartphone features a 5MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front-facing shooter for video chats and selfie images. It supports dual sim dual standby and comes with standard connectivity options like Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS and microUSB port. Like other Intex device, the Cloud Zest also comes with lots of pre-installed apps like Matrabhasha, FOTA, Hike, Quikr, Skype and many more.
The main highlight of the Cloud Zest smartphone is the whopping 4000mAh battery it boasts that can deliver upto 15 hours of talk time and 500 hours on standby mode. The dimensions of the handset measure 146 x 74 x 10.3 mm and weighs around 152 grams. The smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box and will be available in colors- Champagne, White, and Black.
Intex Cloud Zest with huge 4000mAh battery and a cheap price tag is definitely a decent buy, but it will have to face tough competition from the likes of Lenovo A2010 priced at Rs. 4,990 and Yu Yunique priced at Rs. 4,999 that offers not only similar specifications but also supports 4G-LTE connectivity.
