Procedure to Update HTC Desire with Jellybean 4.2.2 Firmware Update:
- Download Jellybean 4.2.2 Firmware Package for HTC Desire from here to your computer. Once downloaded, connect your device to the computer and place the same in your device.
- Disconnect the device and download the ROM Manager app from the Google PLAY Store to flash the custom recovery image in your device. Once the recovery image is flashed, select the option of “reboot device into recovery”.
- Now, your HTC Desire will be rebooted in the recovery mode where you need to select the option of “install zip from sd card” to choose the zip file which you have placed in your phone.
- Once the file is selected, it will take around 4 -5 minutes for applying the update. Once the update is applied successfully, you will get to see the message as “install from sd card complete” indicating that all the drivers are installed successfully. Sometimes, it may take more than 4 -5 minutes for applying the update and for the reboot. Once the device is rebooted, you will be asked to enter the Language preferences.
- As soon as the device is rebooted, navigate to the path “Settings > About Phone > Firmware Version” to see the current firmware version.
Note: If the device gets into the boot loop sequence or say gets stuck in the welcome screen, just re insert the battery and re follow the above instructions so as to again follow the above mentioned instructions.
