Procedure to Update AT&T Galaxy S2 SkyRocket with UCMC1 version of Jellybean 4.1.2 Firmware:
- Download the UCMC1 Jellybean 4.1.2 Firmware Package from here to your computer along with the odin in your computer. Once downloaded, extract the same.
- Open Odin in your computer and turn Off your phone so that it can be entered in the Dwonload Mode. Galaxy S2 SkyRocket can be entered in download Mode by Pressing the Volume Down + Menu Button and holding these two, press the Power button to start the device.
- Once the device is entered in the Download Mode, connect your device to the computer with the help of original USB cable and then you will see that the ID : COM section will turn Yellow indicating that all the drivers are installed successfully.
- Click on “PDA” to select the .tar format file which you will get upon extraction of Firmware file of UCMC1. Upon selection, click on “Start” to start the process of firmware update. It will take around 3 – 5 minutes for applying the update. Once the update is applied successfully, your Galaxy S2 SkyRocket will reboot automatically.
- To check on whether the firmware is updated successfully or not, you need to check the same from the path “Settings > About Phone > Firmware Version” where the firmware version will be mentioned as Jellybean 4.1.2 UCMC1.
Note: If the device gets into the boot loop sequence or say gets stuck in the welcome screen, just re insert the battery and re follow the above instructions so as to again follow the above mentioned instructions.
