The local smartphone manufacturer, Lava has launched two new entry-level smartphones in its Atom series called as Lava Iris Atom and Lava Iris Atom 3. Both the devices support dual sim dual standby and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. The Lava Iris Atom and Iris Atom 3 are available in Black and White color variants priced at Rs. 4,249 and Rs. 4,899 respectively. Both the smartphone support Smart Gesture controls for quicker access to applications.

Lava Iris Atom
The Iris Atom features a 4-inch (800×480 pixels) WVGA display and comes powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. The device comes with 512MB of RAM, 8GB of onboard storage and microSD card slot for expansion upto 32GB. On the photographic section, the smartphone sports a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera. The handset packs a 1550mAh battery and connectivity options on the smartphone include 2G/3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and microUSB port.
Lava Iris Atom 3
The Iris Atom 3 flaunts a 5-inch (854×480 pixels) FWVGA TN display offering a pixel density of 196ppi. Under the hood, is the 1.3GHz quad-core processor accompanied with 512MB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and also includes microSD card slot for expansion upto 32GB. On the camera part, the device features a 5MP rear shooter with LED flash and a 2MP front-facing snapper for video calling and selfie lovers. The handset juices a 2000mAh battery and comes with basic connectivity options like 2G/3G, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 and a microUSB port. Its dimensions measure 144 x 72 x 9 mm and weighs around 150 grams.
To recap, Lava has recently launched a new mid-range smartphone called as Lava Iris X10 in India. The smartphone is available for sale online via HomeShop 18 priced at Rs. 10,990. The Iris 10 features 5-inch HD display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection, 1.3GHz quad-core SoC, 3GB RAM, 16GB storage, 13MP primary camera, 5MP front shooter and 4G-LTE connectivity. The handset comes backed by a 2900mAh battery and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based star OS out of the box.
