LAVA, today announced the launch of Iris X8, a new member of its flagship ‘iris X’ series of smartphones.
The smartphone has a screen resolution of 720*1280 (HD), and an oil coating on the screen has been provided for a smooth touch experience. Iris X8 powered by an Octa-Core processor along with 2GB RAM. It includes a 16GB of internal memory, 13 GB out of which is available to the user. Iris X8 runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat and is upgradable to Android 5.0 Lollipop.
On camera front, the Iris X8 has primary camera of 8 megapixel with Dual LED flash, Auto focus and BSI-III sensor and sports a 3 megapixel front camera. It also supports full HD Video recording and digital zoom with built-in auto-focus, panorama, HDR mode, face detection, smile shot and voice capture. On connectivity front, the dual SIM equipped Iris X8 is equipped with 3G connectivity Apart from Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.0.
The LAVA Iris X8 is powered by 2500 mAh battery. Iris X8 also comes with an Intelligent Flip cover that allows users to access applications like music, calling, camera, messaging and few other functions directly without the need for switching to the main screen.
The phone has gesture recognition functionality with Smart Wake-up and Gesture controls that allow consumers to jump directly to applications from the locked screen.
LAVA Iris X8 has been priced at Rs 8, 999 and is available in white & black colour. The smartphone will be available for purchase in all national retail stores and multi-brand outlets. Iris X8 will be available online exclusively on Flipkart.com starting 12:00 noon from 9th Feb.
