Lenovo has done a big number of announced just a few days ahead of the CES 2014, the right timing when they could showcase all these devices at the event. Apart from their flagship Vibe series Lenovo Vibe Z, the company has announced the Lenovo S930, Lenovo S650 and the Lenovo S859. The S859 is a mid-range Android smartphone with the 5-inch capacitive touchscreen and an HD display, and there are some mid-range specifications.
The IPS display has got a good viewing angle of 178-degree and under the hood, there is a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, Mediatek MT6582 chipset along with the Mali 400 GPU and a support by 1GB of RAM. Most of the specifications remain similar to that of the Lenovo S930 because you get to see the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS as well as the Dual SIM connectivity with the WCDMA + GSM networks.
On the rear side, there is a 8-megapixel autofocus camera with the LED flash, and on the front, it’s a 1.6-megapixel fixed focus camera. Supporting the 3G connectivity, the Lenovo S859 comes with the other options such as Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS. The smartphone has an internal storage of 8GB, and there is an option to expand this to 32GB with the MicroSD card. The S859 has a 2250 mAh battery.
Coming in the white color, the device is priced at $229, and it would be available immediately and along with the other Lenovo devices that were announced, it would be showcased at the CES 2014 event.
