The quad core processor powered smart phones are here to stay, atleast their name would be remembered for year or two. After Samsung HTC One X, Galaxy S III and Meizu MX smart phone, it turns out to be Lenovo LePhone K860 the smart phone with quad core processor. The smart phones which has more than 5 inches display are commonly referred as phablet as they either doesn’t come as smart phone or fall in the tablet category.
Among the known phablets are LG Optimus Vu and Samsung Galaxy Note N7000, Micromax A100 and few more.
Lenovo LePhone K860
The Lenovo LePhone K860 is spotted in China still under making and we expect that this device should be out in August. The device is powered with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system which is the newest in the Google Android OS and the specifications of this device suggest that it would be a high end smart phone. The quad core CPU is clocked at 1.4 Ghz from the Samsung Exynos processor and it will feature a 5 inches HD display screen providing a maximum resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. This would be with 8 mega pixel camera on the rear side alongside with LED flash and it would also see 2 mega pixel front facing camera with 1 GB of RAM. It would be seen with 4 GB of internal memory storage capacity and the device weights 185 grams.
So this device directly takes on LG Optimus Vu and Galaxy Note in terms of big size display screen and Lenovo is expecting better results from this handset. We aren’t sure whether Lenovo would make it available world wide but only we can know about this device in August. We expect this device to be avaiable during the coming IFA 2012 event show scheduled from August 29 till September 2012 in Berlin, Germany.
