Lenovo has launched the Lenovo S580, the company’s latest budget smartphone in the S-series in India today. Lenovo recently had launched the Vibe X2 smartphone in India at the price of Rs 19,999. Lenovo had earlier launched Z2 Pro in India around Rs 33K that came with 6 inched screen size.
Lenovo has a 5-inch HD display. The smartphone is powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. It runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) which will be upgraded to KitKat as claimed by Lenovo.
On camera front, it has an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It comes pre-installed with Lenovo’s proprietary DOit apps for seamless data sharing, security and syncing. Lenovo has provided various connectivity options such as 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS. Lenovo S580 is a Dual SIM phone with dual standby, 8GB of internal storage with expansion slot and a 2150mAh battery.
Last month, Lenovo had launched The Sisley S90 in China. Sisley S90 features a 5-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The display is super AMOLED, which renders great brightness levels and color contrast ratio. The phone is powered on the inside by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor, Adreno 306 GPU and is coupled with 1 GB of RAM. On the back, the phone comes with a 13 megapixel rear camera combined with LED flash and 8 megapixel front-facing camera.
Lenovo recently completed the acquisition of Motorola Mobility and we can expect some of the devices in coming days to come with expertise from Motorola. Now after the closure of Motorola acquisition for $2.9 billion Lenovo becomes 3rd biggest phone maker.
