Lenovo Thinkpad Slate Tablets Get Android 4.0 ICS Update OTA

We were just talking about Samsung, Sony Ericsson, LG and Motorola the big player in smartphone and tablets manufacturers about their devices coming out with Android 4.0 ICS update but we just completely forgot Lenovo, Panasonic, Fujitsu and other small player’s available tablets. Surprisingly, Lenovo’s Thinkpad tablet gets Android 4.0 upgrade today and this update is been rolled out to some regions around the world.

Lenovo Thinkpad Slate Yes, ahead of Sony Ericsson, Lenovo’s representative said that ThinkPad tablet which has certainly put the company’s head up in the market. The Android 4.0 update to the Lenovo Thinkpad is available for the tablet owner in United Kingdom and the Western Europe. This update is been delivered via over the Air update and users are required to proceed with this update while they are connected using the Wi Fi connection.

So if you are the proud owner of the Lenovo Thinkpad then remove your tablet and then go to Settings > About Tablet > Software Update and hit the Update button to proceed and this update can take anything between 30 to 60 minutes depending on the internet connectivity speed. Importantly before proceeding with the update you should take a backup of your applications, please do it.

Going through the updates reported by the users, GPS works fins along with faster speed and Chrome beta for Android is now available with the Android version being the Android 4.0.3 on your tablet. This update would be rolled out slowly and would be reaching around the world to different countries by June 10.
