Update: Lenovo’s Vibe X2 smartphone has gone on sale exclusively at Flipkart.com today. The smartphone is priced at Rs 19,999/- and available only in Gold colour option at this point. Lenovo Vibe X2 was launched in India on November 7. Vibe X2 is the world’s first three layered smartphone. The design makes the handset unique. It is made in magnesium alloy body that makes it durable and also light weight.
Flipkart and Lenovo are offering several launch day offers for the phone, which include a 95 percent discount on the Smart Battery Layer, Myntra coupons to use in the official app, cash back on EMI purchase, and free e-books.

Lenovo has kicked of its IFA campaign with much awaited flagship device dubbed as Vibe X2, which is a successor to the last year’s Vibe X. Company touts its three layer multi-layered design as it comes in four different bold colors, White, Red, Gold, and Dark Grey, suiting individual’s style.
Previously, it was believed that Lenovo Vibe X2 will come in two versions, one with an octa-core CPU and the other with a 2.2 GHz dual-core part. But it’s not true as company announced the device only with MediaTek MT6595 4G LTE True8Core processor clocking 2.0 GHz, which is one of its kind, as Vibe X2 will be the first to sport the recently announced chipset. Designed for the ‘super-mid’ market, the MT6595 includes Release 9, Category 4 dual-mode LTE for worldwide 4G-network compatibility.
It features a 5-inch wide-view FHD (1920 x 1080 pixels resolution) display and will be running on Android 4.4 OS (Kitkat) out of the box, with no detail on whether it will support the Android L version or not. One the storage front, the device will pack a 2GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage, also there is no mention of a microSD card slot, which means the storage is fixed, which is a con for any device, and this is a flagship phone.
In the camera department, the device sports a 13MP Autofocus rear-camera with LED flash, and boasts a 5MP front snapper to take amazing selfies or video calls at high resolution as it has gesture controls and beautification features in the camera app. For connectivity, the device offers various set of features like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS. Its dimensions are 140.2 X 68.6 X 7.27mm and weighs only 120 grams, the device will also support dual SIM in Asia Pacific region, but will sport a single SIM for other regions. All this will be powered by a 2300mAh battery, which has a rated talktime of up to 19.5 hours and standby time of up to 7.5 days on 4G network.
Company has also announced a bunch of accessory for Vibe X2 that includes click-on battery and a speaker. The new flagship will be out in China this October for the equivalent of $399, and later roll out to the other markets where Lenovo is present.
