Today, AT&T has launched a new smartphone made by LG called as LG G Vista 2 in the U.S. The LG G Vista 2 is a upper mid-range device and is the follow up of the LG G Vista that launched back in 2014, and it comes with significant improvements over its predecessor.
The Vista 2 features a similar 5.7-inch display as its predecessor, but it is now a Full-HD display. The device comes powered by all new Snapdragon 617 64-bit octa-core processor coupled with 2GB RAM, 16GB onboard storage and a microSD card slot for further expansion.
On the camera front, it sports a 13MP laser autofocus rear camera with dual tone LED flash, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and manual mode to control the shutter speeds, ISO, white balance and many more. On the front is the 5MP snapper to click the perfect selfie images. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based LG’s UX UI out of the box with planned upgrade to Android 6.0 Marshmallow in the future.
The smartphone also features a 1W speaker for better audio quality and also includes a stylus that was absent in its predecessor. It also includes several features like Knock On, Quick Memo+ and Q Slide that can be easily used with the fancy stylus. The handset comes with a design similar to other LG devices, and the back of the device comes with 3D checkered effect and is slightly curved too.
The smartphone comes backed by a 3000mAh battery that can easily last for single day on mixed usage. The device is priced off-contract at $449 while the two years contract priced at $50 per month. There is no information about the launch of this device in the other markets.
Recently, the company has launched its flagship smartphone in its new V series dubbed as “LG V10.” The smartphone comes with some innovative features like the always-on secondary ticker display that show up the notifications and dual front-facing cameras for perfect selfies.
