LG announced the third-generation collection of L Series Smart phone dubbed as the LG L40 mainly targeted for emerging 3G markets. The company is trying to gain the attention of customers who are looking for high end devices as well with its LG G Pro 2 announcing last week.
LG L40 will be running on Android 4.4 KitKat and has a display of 3.5 inch IPS with 480 x 320 resolutions and is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 512 MB RAM and 4 GB internal storage that can be extended via micro SD card slot. This device come with a 3 MP camera on the rear and the front camera is absent the device will be having the 3G connectivity with HSDPA+14.g Mbps. To power the device there is a battery on the back that can be removed, however the battery can be a 1,700 mAh or a 1,540 mAh depending on the market. The size of the device is 109.4 x 59.0 x 11.9 mm.

I should also to mention that two other devices from LG also came up along with the L40 called as the L70 and L90 and all these new devices are the first LG’s mid-range devices to support the Quick Window smart cover, so you can easily view important notifications and check the time without the bother to open the cover. The price and availability of this device is not yet announced and the device will be reveled in the MWC event later this month.
