South Korean electronics company LG Electronics today launched a smartphone under its L series, Bello. LG had unveiled the L Fino and L Bello in the L series in the month of August earlier this year, and these smart phones started rolling out globally in September. These smart phones were on sale in India via Flipkart earlier this month.
The LG L Bello sports a 5-inch IPS LCD multi-touch display with FWVGA resolution of 480 x 854 pixels leading to a pixel density of 196 ppi. The phone is powered by quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz and coupled with a 1GB RAM. It runs on Android v4.4.2 KitKat OS, right out of the box. It also has the UX skin derived from G3 that enables you to access some unique features like Knock Code, Smart Keyboard, Smart Keyboard, Guest Mode, Capture Plus, Easy Home, QSlide and QuickMemo+.
On its camera front, LG L Bello sports an 8MP with BSI sensor and just a 1MP front- facing camera. It has a front light key to assist people take selfies in darker environments apart from its back panel LED light. The phone includes features such as Touch and shoot whereby one can simply touch anywhere on the screen, focus and get instant shots. One more powerful feature is the Gesture Shot enables, it enables users to take selfies with a mere hand gesture.
It houses 8GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 32GB. The LG L Bello offers a 2,540 mAh Li-Po embedded battery which cannot be removed. Various connectivity options have been provided such as dual SIM slots, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, USB port and Bluetooth, but NFC is missing. The L Bello measures 138.1 X 70.6 X 10.7mm and the weight of the device is not mentioned.
The mobile phone has colour options like white, titan black and gold. It has been priced at Rs 18,500. At this price bracket and features the phone will compete with Samsung Mega 2, HTC desire 816, Xiaomi MI4 and one plus one (yet to be launched). Lately, we have seen many manufacturers coming with smart phones at the mid price range with great features. It would be interesting to see how the new outing of LG L series fares in Indian market, which is currently one of the fastest growing mobile markets.
