LG Lifeband Touch Fitness Tracker Band & Heart Rate Earphones Announced – Android & iOS Compatible

LG has once again decided to try out the fitness tracking device wearable on the wrist, as they unveil the LG Lifeband Touch fitness tracker band. It isn’t going for sale right away, but you might not want to wait a lot for the actual details about this smart fitness tracker wrapped around the wrist. Unlike the fitness bands like the Jawbone Up, the Lifeband Touch would actually have an OLED display and along with that, the notifications, watch and quite a lot more. After all, it’s coming from a brand which has done quite a lot in the consumer electronics.

The lifeband was leaked earlier, before the CES but not many details were known except that the Lifeband was something similar in looks to the Smart Activity Tracker which was shown during the CES in 2013. The Smart Activity Tracker didn’t receive a lot of appreciation, firstly for the reason that it was introduced at a time where the wearable stuff was really not something in demand, and secondly because it was much like the Nike FuelBand which was the last thing one would want to buy, and lastly because the Smart Activity Tracker never made it into the market.

Now, LG has come up with something more advanced as the Lifeband Touch comes with –

  • Phone notifications into the band
  • Exercise goals
  • Play music from a smartwatch
  • Watch
  • LG Fitness App
  • Compatibility with Android & iOS
  • Calorie output by tracking steps

It’s all in there, just like the various smartphones and fitness bands together, but would someone want it, or actually, would see it in the real market, is still a question. The band would even work with the heart rate earphones which would check the blood flow in the ear to measure the pulse of the person. The fitness monitor along with the heart rate earphones both are just announced at the CES 2014. The OLED is a touchscreen one for easier functionality. Heart Rate Earphones would provide audible updates, play music and at the same time, check the heart rate and send that to the Lifeband Touch for show that on the band.
