After every manufacturer is back of upgrading their flagship model, why would LG lack bag after such a promising 2012 debut. After Samsung coming out with Android 4.0 ICS update to Galaxy S II, Galaxy S II GT I9100G, Galaxy Note and HTC delivering ICS power to Sensation XL, its LG Electronics turn to come out with Android 4.0 OTA update to Optimus LTE smartphone.
LG declared on December last year that they will come out with Ice Cream Sandwich OS upgrade to wide range of smart phones which are capable of handing ICS and also provided the rough dates of second quarter in 2012 applicable to LG Optimus LTE, Prada 3.0, Optimus 2X, Optimus Sol, My Touch Q and Eclipse. Further more in the third quarter they would be updating Optimus 3D, Optimus Black, Optimus Big, Optimus Q2 and Optimus EX.
LG in their home land has starting pushing the Android 4.0 upgrade to the LG Optimus LTE owner and finally we see something good happening. LG also said that within 30 days they will cover the upgrade to remaining devices as planned and other in the Q3 and this is something to cheer as the devices finally gets updated after much delay of the updates.
If you are proud of the owner of the Optimus LTE the faster internet connectivity phone then please proceed to About Phone > Update and then tap on Check Now. You should proceed with the upgrade once when you are connected with Wi Fi and be sure to backup everything on your phone as the data would be lost during the upgrade procedure. Updating over Wi Fi is to ensure that the process should be completed as soon as possible rather than going with the mobile data connection where in the transfer rate is quite slow. As of now after the upgrade all the things works and if something doesn’t work then do send a feedback to the LG support team.
Are you a LG Optimus LTE owner? If yes, then please check for the update and do let us know about the same to us via comments sections here.
