LG Optimus Pad LTE LG-LU8300 8.9″ Tablet Announced in Korea

LG in the fourth quarter of 2011 said that they will come strong in 2012 and they are indeed making their position strong with the launch many new Android phones and tablets. The latest one which was announced is the LG Optimus Pad LTE an Android tablet. It is said to be launched through LG U+ with model number featuring as LU8300. This tablet comes with the LTE capabilities and introduces various other features.

Optimus Pad LTE tablet is powered with 1.5 Ghz dual core processor from QUALCOMM Snapdeagon S3 and it comes with Android 3.2 Honeycomb OS pre-installed in it. One would have opt for Ice Cream Sandwich on it but don’t worry about the operating system version and don’t worry about the Android 4.0 as the hardware is compatible for Android 4.0 and I am sure LG would be eyeing to release an update to it very early than other devices.

It sports 8.9 inches WXGA screen with a maximum resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels and it will be using the True HD IPS LCD display. Along with that it will also have 2 mega pixel front facing camera which can be used for video calls and video conference. For the first time tablet users will see an external memory slot for adding extra memory up to 32 Gb via micro SD and micro SDHC cards. This tablet comes with 8 mega pixel camera, the first ever tablet with 8 mega pixel rear camera and so the video recording at 1080p and 720p is possible.  Included 6800 mAh battery will provide high capacity power back on single charge for around 10 hours of video playback and normal complete one day usage.

Additional features include the smart movie editor by which you can edit videos, photos easily. In addition to that it includes HDMI multimedia connectivity and DLNA feature to share rich content with high definition devices. Along with that the option of Wi-Fi direct is also included to provide the faster data transfer wirelessly which is never seen before on LG smartphones and tablet. Also Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0 are including along with the inclusion of DMB terrestrial.

Price and availability of this tablet is not yet confirmed but it will be launched via LG U+ network operator and further details will be revealed soon.
