LG G Pad 8.0 LTE Shipping with LG G3 UX & QPair 2.0 Feature

LG has finally announced the LTE variant of its tablet called G Pad 8.0 in Europe, which was originally announced in May with other G Pads that includes a 7-inch and 10.1-inch display variants. The device is all set to go on sale later this week in Europe, which will be followed by other markets like Central America, South America, Asia, and CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States).

LG G Pad 8.0 LTE

The G Pad 8.0 LTE comes with an 8-inch WXGVA (1280 x 720 pixels resolution) IPS display and is powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad-core processor (unknown chipset). The tablet runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat out of the box with LG’s custom user interface that reminisce LG G3‘s UX. On the storage front, the device packs a 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded via microSD card.

In the camera department, it sports a 5MP rear-camera and 1.3MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. For connectivity, this tablet offers various set of features like LTE, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth support. The G Pad has 9.9 mm thickness and weighs 344 grams. All this is powered by a 4200 mAh battery, which might give a decent performance based on the usage of the device.

The G Pad also includes a unique feature called QPair 2.0, which makes it convenient to answer phone calls, receive notifications, and send text messages, all directly from the LG tablet via Bluetooth connectivity between tablet and smartphone.

On the software front, this device has a lot to offer in terms of utilities and services like Knock Code, Smart Keyboard, Gesture Shots, and Touch & Shoot feature. The Knock Code is a specially designed proprietary feature for security purpose as it unlocks the device with fluid actions. This service allows up to four personal knock patterns creation, which makes it easier for a family to use the same device without revealing their personal information. Whereas smart keyboard is LG’s take on providing a better typing experience on your G Pad, the Gesture shot and touch & shoot features will improve your photography experience as you will be able to take quick and clean shots.

The other G Pad variants with 7-inch and 10.1-inch display has only Wi-Fi connectivity, therefore 8-inch variant has advantage over its smaller and bigger siblings. This LG tablet will come in four color options, Black, White, Luminous Blue and Luminous Orange. The consumers in Europe would be able to purchase this device as early as this week, which will later followed by launch in other regions in the coming weeks.
