Earlier, we exclusively reported about LG confirming to launch the latest K-series smartphone called as LG K7 in the U.S as LG Tribute 5. Now, the company has officially launched the LG Tribute 5 smartphone in the US and will be available for purchase via Boost Mobile priced at $99.99 without any contract. The LG Tribute 5 comes with a beautiful glossy pebble design and like other LG devices features power and volume rockers placed on the rear side below camera module.
Coming to the specifications part, The LG Tribute 5 flaunts a 5-inch (854×480 pixels) FWVGA IPS display with 196ppi as pixel density. Under the hood, it comes powered by Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor clocked at 1.1GHz coupled with Adreno 304 GPU and 1GB of RAM. The device supports dual sim dual standby and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. It comes with 8GB of internal storage and also includes microSD card slot for further expansion upto 32GB.
On the camera front, the device sports a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front shooter with LG’s Gesture Shot feature for video chats and stunning selfie captures. It comes with standard connectivity options like 4G-LTE/3G, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB 2.0 port. The handset packs a 2125mAh battery that the company claims can deliver upto 14.5 hours of talk time. The dimensions of the device measure 143.6 x 72.5 x 9.05 mm weighs around 147 grams and is currently available in Black color variant.
A quick recall, LG has recently launched a new variant of the LG G4 Stylus called as LG G4 Stylus 3G in India priced at Rs. 19,000. The smartphone features 5.7-inch HD display, MediaTek MT6592 octa-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage, 8MP laser autofocus primary camera, 5MP front snapper, 3000mAh battery and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box. The smartphone comes bundled with a stylus and also has unique features like Gesture Shot, Glance View and Knock Code.
