Hindu Calender Android application now arrives for Android platform showing you the tithis, paksha, nakshatra, rashi and phase of the moon. You can also convert any Gregorian date to Indian lunar date using this application. This application provides a complete monthly viewing and highlights Ekadashi, Chathurthi, Poornima and Amavasya and provides the list of festival along with the moon phase of each date.
With this application you can easily add famous festivals or any festival to your calender easily for the reminders.
As soon as you install this application on your phone and run in, you will be directly provided with current running month in English naming in the top showing Calender tab. So there are three tabs basically Calender, Tithi and Festivals.
Calender : Calender tab provides the complete month calendar with present day with the phase of the moon and at the bottom shows the festivals this month coming accordingly in English date so that users can easily understand Hindu Calender in accordance with the terminology that they are suited. Calender tab provides navigation to previous months and upcoming months archive too so that users can plan accordingly.
Tithi : The tithi tab shows the panchang, nakshatra, karan and vaar of today’s by default and users can browse to previous and upcoming days tithis.
Festivals : This tab will show all the Hindu festivals upcoming during the selection period. Click on any one of those festivals you will be provided with complete details of that festival on which day it comes along with the option of Add to Calender.
Those three tabs determine this application and along with that you can access settings by tapping on Menu and click on Settings to change the calendar year type and calendar month type.
Along with that it provides clear explanation of two types of Hindu calendar and India maps showing the widely use of those two calendars.
