Enhancements in Gingerbread XXKPE 2.3.4 for Galaxy SL I9003:
- There are not many enhancements which this version comes along apart from the major one being that the camera’s non-functioning now has been fixed as now camera works perfectly on this version of XXKPE 2.3.4 version for Galaxy SL.
- Apart from the camera, some of the users mentioned about the slow or laagginess on the overall user interface. This one was again due to bad kernel in all the former versions of firmwares which too have now been fixed in this version of XXKPE for Galaxy SL.
- The overall battery backup has been considerably increased by a marginal 5 – 7% if compared with the older firmware versions which again was the wanting from most of the users.
- The GPS as well as Wi Fi too has been enhanced as some of the users reported about the lower Wi Fi signal strength when compared with all the Froyo versions for the Galaxy SL. The GPS bug too has been fixed and there should be no issues when used outside but still there are issues when the GPS is used indoors which we hope will be solved in the next or future versions of the Gingerbread.
- An all new Android Market Place works perfectly well on this XXKPE version but still there are issues if you are on slower internet speeds as it tends to consume longer time than the older version of Android Market Place used to take in searching the applications which you have requested for in the “Search” box. There are no issues been reported while downloading the apps from the Market.
- If you are directly coming from the Froyo 2.2 or 2.2.1 versions then you will find a whole new user interface in the green colored theme compared to the earlier’s blue colored overall theme and look. Apart from this you will also find that this version has an extra zing which adds up to the more fluidic experience.
