Procedure to Update Galaxy ACE 2 I8160 with Official Jellybean 4.1.2 XXMF1:
- Download Jellybean 4.1.2 XXMF1 Package from here to your computer. Once downloaded, extract both the files and open odin in your computer.
- Now, turn off your device so that it can be entered in the Download Mode.
- Download Mode can be entered by first turning Off the device and then Hold Volume Down + Menu Button and while holding both Keys to Power ON the device till you see the Green Robot on the screen which is nothing but the Download Mode.
- In Download Mode, connect your phone to computer with original USB cable to see ID: COM section turn Yellow / Blue which indicated that all the drivers are installed successfully. If ID: COM section refuses to turn Yellow / Green, you will need to re install the drivers.
- Click on “PDA” to select the firmware file which you got after extraction and click on “Start” to start the process of firmware update. Make sure that you haven’t selected / changed any other option in the odin.
- Once the firmware update process is completed, the device will be rebooted. The whole process of firmware update will take around 3 -4 minutes and once the firmware is updated successfully, you can disconnect the device and head over to the path “Settings > About Phone” where you will see the current firmware version as Jellybean 4.1.2 Firmware.
Note: If the device gets into the boot loop sequence or say gets stuck in the welcome screen, just long press the Power button and re follow the above instructions so as to again follow the above mentioned instructions.
