Procedure to Update Galaxy Beam with Official Jellybean 4.1.2 Firmware:
- Download the Jellybean 4.1.2 Firmware Package and Odin from here to your computer. Once downloaded, extract both the files in your computer.
- Open Odin in your computer and Turn Off your phone so that it can be entered in the Download Mode.
- Download Mode in Galaxy Beam can be entered by first turning Off the device and then hold Volume Down Rocker Key + Menu Button and then Power ON the device. Once the device is booted and you see the Download Mode Green Robot, you can release the button combos.
- Connect your device to the computer with the help of original USB cable and then you will see that the ID: COM section will turn Blue indicating that all the drivers are installed successfully. Click on the below mentioned options and select the files from the extracted firmware package;
CODE – CODE_I8530XXAMF1_1053499_REV00_user_low_ship.tar to CODE
CSC – CSC_OXA_I8530OXAAMF1_1053499_REV00_user_low_ship.tar to CSC
PIT – GT-I8530_EUR_XX_8G to PIT
- Once you have selected all the files, you will then have to click on “Start” to start the process of firmware update. Once clicked on “Start”, you will have to wait for 4 -5 minutes for starting the firmware update. Once the firmware is updated successfully, you will see that the device will be rebooted. Disconnect the device from computer.
Note: If the device gets into the boot loop sequence or say gets stuck in the welcome screen, just re insert the battery and re follow the above instructions so as to again follow the above mentioned instructions.
