Procedure to update Galaxy Tab GT-P1000 with Jellybean 4.2.2 Firmware:
- Download the Jellybean 4.2.2 for P1000 Tablet and Google Apps Package from here to your computer. Once downloaded, connect your tablet to the computer with the help of original USB cable and place these two files in your tablet.
- Turn Off your Galaxy Tab so that it can be entered in the Recovery Mode. Recovery Mode in Galaxy Tab GT-P1000 can be entered by pressing the Hold Volume Up + Menu Button and while holding both Keys to Power ON the device till you see the Green Robot on the screen which is nothing but the Download Mode.
- In recovery Mode, clear the cache and wipe the data by selecting the appropriate options and then select “Install Zip from SD Card’ and select the Jellybean 4.2.2 Firmware Package d then the Google Apps Package which you have placed in your device to apply the update.
- Once the device is updated successfully, the device will display the message as “install from sd card completed”. Now, select “go back” and then select “reboot system now” for rebooting the device in the normal mode. It will take more than 5 – 6 minutes for rebooting the device as it’s the first time the device will be rebooted.
Note: If the device gets into the boot loop sequence or say gets stuck in the welcome screen, just long press the Power button and re follow the above instructions so as to again follow the above mentioned instructions.
