Procedure to Update HTC One X + with HTC One X+ Maximum Plus Custom ROM:
- Download the HTC One X+ Maximum Plus Custom ROM Firmware Package in your computer and connect your HTC One X + with original USB cable to place the zip file in your phone. Ensure that you are not placing the zip file deep into the sub folders as it may not get detected in the recovery mode.
- The Boot loader mode in HTC One X+ can be entered by pressing Volume UP Key + OK button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button. If the phone boots in the normal mode then you need to try again to enter into the boot loader mode.
- Now, in the boot loader mode, you need to select “recovery” so as to enter into the recovery mode. In recovery mode, select Wipe data/factory reset and also you need to select Wipe Cache partition for clearing all the cache data. Now, in the recovery mode, select install zip from sd card, then select choose zip from sd card to select the placed HTC One X+ Maximum Plus Custom ROM Firmware Package.
- Once the zip file is selected, it will take around 4 -5 minutes for applying the same. As soon as the update is applied, you will get to see the message as “install from sd card completed”. Now, select “go back” to choose the option of “reboot system now”.
- To check on whether the update is applied successfully or not, you will have to check the same from the path “Settings > About Phone” where you will find the firmware version as jellybean 4.1.1 HTC One X+ Maximum Plus Custom ROM.
Note: Just in a rare case if the device doesn’t boot up or show the home screen then remove the battery and reinsert the same to boot the device again in the normal mode.
