- In your computer, make sure that ADB is configured which can be done from android.com.

Procedure to Update Nexus 7 2012 with Kit Kat 4.4 Android Firmware:
- Download the Kit Kat 4.4 Zip File from here to your computer. Once downloaded, cone t your device to the computer with the help of original USB cable and place the zip file in your device’s SD Card.
- Up next, you need to disconnect the device and turn Off your device so that it can be entered in the Bootloader mode.
- Get into the bootloader mode by holding down volume up, volume down and power on the tablet until you see the Fastboot menu and START on top.
- Up next, navigate to the “Recovery Mode” with the help of Volume Up and Down Keys to press the Power button and select the same.
- Once you see the exclamation mark, you need to hold down the power button, quickly followed by the volume up button. It will bring up the Recovery Mode menu.
- Once you select the “update from sd card”, select the firmware zip file with the help of Volume keys and Power button to initiate the process of installation. The whole process of installation will take around 4 -5 minutes.
