Meitu, a Chinese smartphone manufacturer, has launched a new smartphone for selfie lovers called as Meitu V4. The Meitu V4 comes with a unique design, with the top and bottom of the device made of metal and the design is known as a “double V.” The smartphone will only be sold in China and is priced at $548.
The main USP of the Meitu V4 is the whopping 21MP camera on the front. The smartphone comes with the largest front-facing camera available in the market right now. The smartphone has become the dream phone for selfie lovers as the 21MP front snapper can capture perfect selfies. To add more fun, the Meitu V4 also sports a 21MP camera on the rear side with f/2.2 aperture, LED flash and the large camera sensor also come with Sapphire protection.
Coming to its specifications, the smartphone flaunts a 5-inch (1080×1920 pixels) Full-HD AMOLED display offering a pixel density of 440ppi. It comes powered by Helio X10 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 2GHz coupled with PowerVR G6200 GPU. The device comes with 3GB of RAM, 64GB of onboard storage and there is no microSD card slot for expansion of memory.
The smartphone supports dual sim dual standby and comes with standard connectivity options like 4G-LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB port. The handset boasts 2650mAh battery and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based MeiOS 2.5 out of the box. The dimensions of the device measure 152.4 x 68.8 x 8.95 mm weighs 145 grams and is available in colors white with pink accents, light turquoise, and pink.
Along with the flagship, Meitu V4 the company also launched the cut-down variant of the Meitu M4 smartphone called as Meitu M4s and is also priced on the lower side at $374. The Meitu M4s features a 4.7-inch (720×1280 pixels) HD IPS OGS display with a pixel density of 312ppi. Under the hood, is the MediaTek MT6752 64-bit Octa-core SoC clocked at 1.7GHz coupled with 3GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.
The smartphone comes with a 13MP autofocus rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. On the front, also it has a 13MP shooter for the selfie crazy world. The dual sim supported device comes with similar connectivity options like the V4. The handset comes backed by a 2160mAh battery and runs on older Android 4.4 KitKat based MeiOS 2 out of the box.
