Micromax, the Indian mobile phone manufacturer has launched their low end Android smartphone, the A27. This is a sub-Rs5000 phone which is purely targeted for those who want to experience Android at the cheapest cost possible. The A27 Ninja smartphone doesn’t pack a lot of power in it and caters to the low-end market segment completely. What’s more, it comes with a dual-sim feature too!
The Micromax A27 phone comes with a 1Ghz processor from Spreadtrum and a 3.5 inch touchscreen display. It runs an older version of Android, 2.3 Gingerbread and is powered by 250MB of RAM and 160MB of internal memory storage, along with a microSD card slot. Being a low-end smartphone, Micromax has added a VGA camera unit onto this phone, which makes it almost pointless to use the camera at all, considering the quality would not be really great.
The phone also comes with a new Swipe n Share feature, which allows users to transfer content and files from one phone to another by just moving their hand across the screen of one device to another, simplifying the process involved in sharing files over Bluetooth. Also, it is to be noted that the phone does not have support for 3G and internet connectivity is provided through WiFi and EDGE.
