Micromax, the second largest smartphone manufacturer in India, has recently unveiled many budget-friendly 4G-LTE enabled smartphones called as Micromax Canvas Amaze 4G and battery-focused Micromax Canvas Juice 4G. Now, the company has launched a ultra-low cost smartphone in its Bolt series called as Micromax Bolt Q383 priced at Rs. 4,171. The device is already available for purchase via offline stores and is also listed online on eBay. The Bolt Q383 comes with very basic specifications and will be targeted towards the low-category users.
Talking about the specifications, the smartphone flaunts a 5-inch FWVGA (854×480 pixels) display with 196ppi as pixel density and comes equipped with an unspecified quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz. The device has 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage that can be further expanded using a microSD card slot upto 32GB. It supports dual sim dual standby and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based company’s customized UI out of the box. It comes with essential connectivity options like 2G/3G HSPA+, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and microUSB 2.0 port.
On the camera section, there is not much to talk about as it features a 2MP rear camera with LED flash and VGA front-facing shooter for selfies. The handset packs an 1800mAh battery that is slightly underpowered and is difficult to take you through the day. The Bolt Q383 will have to face tough competition from the likes of recently Intex Cloud Breeze & Infocus M260 that has even better specifications at the lesser price tag. If you are willing to spend a little more out of your pockets, then Infocus Bingo 21 and LYF Flame 1 are other options that also offers 4G-LTE support.
To recap, Micromax has recently launched an affordable 4G-LTE enabled tablet in its Canvas series called as Micromax Canvas Tab P702 in India priced at Rs. 7,999. The tablet features 7-inch HD display, MediaTek 64-bit quad-core SoC, 2GB RAM, 16GB of storage, 5MP primary camera with flash, 2MP selfie shooter, 3000mAh battery and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. The Canvas Tab P702 is available for sale online exclusively via Snapdeal and also comes bundled with OTG cable, earphones and 7 Kindle eBooks worth Rs. 1500 for free.
