The Indian smartphone maker, Micromax is known for launching affordable smartphones with decent specifications in the market. The company has today officially launched a new budget-friendly smartphone in its Canvas series called as Micromax Canvas xp 4G in India. The device comes with impressive features and will be targeted towards the youth. The smartphone is priced at Rs. 7,499 and will be available for purchase online exclusively via Snapdeal starting May 10th.
Talking about the specifications, the Canvas xp 4G comes with a 5-inch (1280×720 pixels) HD IPS display that offers a pixel density of 294ppi, and Gorilla Glass laid on top of it for protection. Under the hood, it fuels MediaTek MT6735A quad-core processor clocked at 1.0GHz paired with Mali-T720 GPU and 3GB of RAM. It has 16GB of built-in storage and also includes a microSD card slot for further expansion of memory to 32GB.
On the camera front, the device sports an 8MP autofocus primary camera with LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera for video calling and selfie lovers. The smartphone supports dual sim dual standby and comes with standard connectivity options like 4G-LTE/3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB 2.0 port. The smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. It comes backed by a 2000mAh battery that can easily take you through the day of mixed usage.
