Samsung Galaxy S was sensational, and never got the fame less although the successor of its, the Galaxy S II had its own class at its best. But Samsung has brought in, another classic device which well contends to become a better successor to the Galaxy S, and the other devices holding the similar specs. And the Samsung Galaxy S Advance is launched spot on with the right target.
The screen size remains the same, at 4-inch WVGA touchscreen with the Super AMOLED display. There is a betterment not just in the design, but the style and specs from the previous Galaxy S standard version. The body sees a change in the bottom home key which is elongated and looks neat. The back side panel of the Galaxy S advance has a matte finish, with the camera supported by a flash which was lacking in the Galaxy S version.
The camera quality and video recording features remain the same though, at 5MP lens capturing videos at 720p HD quality, and the output being the same on the AMOLED display. The 3.5-mm headset jack which was located on the top in the Galaxy S, is shifted to the bottom, just adjacent to the MicroUSB slot at the bottom part of the Galaxy S Advance.
The Galaxy S Advance looks a lot durable, after the plastic finish and look is replaced by a metallic one, and the front has a bulgy feel which looks far more comfortable. What we see internally is nothing new, with the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS having the typical-Galaxy interface that most of the Galaxy devices have, and the connectivity options remain at 3G, Wi-Fi a,b,g,n and the Bluetooth with 3.0 technology.
Here are the specifications of the Galaxy S Advance:
- 4-inch WVGA touchscreen, Super AMOLED display
- 720p playback display
- Screen resolution of 800 x 480 pixels
- 1GHz dual-core processor
- Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS
- Rear 5MP Autofocus Camera
- Front 1.3MP camera
- 720p Video Recording HD
- Hub services / Allshare
- WiFi Direct / Wi-Fi a/b/g/n / Bluetooth 3.0
The Samsung Galaxy S Advance is set to launch worldwide except in the U.S. as what the company claims at the MWC 2012, but that would happen soon, but with the league having the higher standard quad-core devices, high-end processors and the better cameras we aren’t sure whether the “Advance” name would hold any edge over the others.
