Google’s sweetest release has finally released in the form of Lollipop with Android 5.0 and alongside, Google also announced the launch of new phablet marvel dubbed as Nexus 6 which literally comes with the 6 inches of screen size. While we already had the Nexus 5 Android smartphone, here comes the Nexus 6 android device which comes with the new specs. So let’s put together Nexus 5 and Nexus 6 and check out on what has really transformed from Google. Google will soon be releasing the Android Lollipop 5.0 update to the Nexus 5 as early as November.


Display:
Regardless to start off with, Nexus 6 comes with the great display of 5.96 inches along with the resolution of 2560 x 1440 and 493PPI. When compared with the likes of Nexus 5 which comes with the 4.95 inches of screen size along with the 1920 x 1080 pixel display with 445PPI. Compared to the Nexus 5’s IPS Panel, Nexus 6 comes with an AMOLED screen.
Performance:
Powered with 2.7 GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor, Nexus 6 also comes with the Adreno 420 GPU, which is almost 40% faster than that of Adreno 330 in last year’s nexus device. That device came with the 2.3 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800. As the Lollipop OS announced, the Nexus 6 will be pre-loaded with the latest OS while Nexus 5 will get the OTA update of Android 5.0 very soon.
Memory:
Along with the 3GB of RAM, Nexus 6 also comes with the 32/64GB of internal memory while Nexus 5 comes with 2GB RAM and 16/32GB of storage option. We can only hope that in the next Nexus smartphone, Google comes with an external SD card slot for the expansion of internal memory.
Camera:
Nexus 6 comes with a 2MP at the back along with the Dual LED Flash and not to forget the 13MP front-facing camera. In terms of front facing camera, Nexus 6 comes with the 2MP while Nexus 5 comes with the 1.3MP of front facing camera. With improved optics, Nexus 6 also comes with the enhanced camera capabilities which are introduced on Lollipop.
Connectivity Options:
With WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac in the Nexus 6, Nexus 5 too comes with the same Wi-Fi standard, the the Bluetooth rating is upgraded to 4.1 from 4.0 on Nexus 5. The other sets of connectivity features are NFC, 3.5mm headset audio jack and microUSB Slot with digital compass and another bunch of core sensors. Just like Nexus 5, this one also supports the Wireless charging capability.
Battery:
Nexus 6 comes with incredible battery life of 3220mAh of battery life while Nexus 5 comes with the 2300mAh of battery power. The best part of Nexus 6 is that within 15 minutes, you can use the phone for 6 hours, all thanks to the Project Volta of Google.
