Update Sep 21: Google is set to launch two new Nexus devices at Sep 29th event. The Huawei-made Nexus device with Android 6.0 Marshmallow is one among the devices that will be officially unveiled in the event. Recently, a new leak confirmed that the device will be called as ‘Nexus 6P.’ The original Nexus 6 was launched last year by Motorola, which hasn’t seen much success as the Nexus 5. Earlier Aug 6: Google has been rumoured to be working on two Nexus smartphones to launch this year, each one from Huawei and LG. Now, new details about the Huawei-made Nexus smartphone have emerged. The video showing the prototype of the actual Nexus device has been posted by Steve Hemmerstoffer, the man behind the Twitter handle @onleaks. As per the eralier leaked information, we can clearly see the fingerprint scanner placed below the rear camera.
The Huawei Nexus will feature a 5.7-inch QHD display with a 2,560×1,440-pixel resolution, as well as a metal body, Snapdragon 820 processor, and a fingerprint reader, according to the notable leaker Evan Blass (@evleaks). The device will also ship in the fourth quarter of this year, which is between October and December.

According to the fresh rumours on upcoming Nexus devices, we can see the launch of two Nexus devices for the first time apart from the Nexus tablet. The last years HTC made Nexus 9 will be continued as the flagship tablet for one more year. Talking about the Nexus smartphones, Google came up with flagship specs and vanilla Android along with an aggressive pricing, these are first devices to receive the Android update. But the Nexus 6 was priced almost double than the Nexus 5.
As we earlier reported, one of the two devices will sport a 5.7-inch display, Snapdragon 810 octa-core SoC and 3,500mAh battery. Huawei will manufacture it and codenamed as Bullhead. The other device will be from LG and codenamed as Angler. It features a 5.2-inch display and 2,700mAh battery. The processor of the LG made Nexus device is not known, we can expect it to be the Snapdragon 808 hexa-core SoC used in the LG G4.

There are quite a few rumours that the next Nexus smartphone will be made by Huawei. A well known Chinese analyst on Weibo posted that, the next smartphone from Nexus series will be made by Huawei and features a 5.7-inch OLED QHD (2K) resolution display.
There are few doubts about the processor, whether Huawei will take the risk to include its in-house Kirin processors are not. Finally, they will be going with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 Chipset. Huawei also mentioned that differences between the 2K display and 1080p display cannot to identified by the naked eye, and this are too much for a mobile display. But according to the Google requirements Huawei will be bringing 2K displays.
Huawei will become the first Chinese OEM to manufacture Nexus phone. Motorola manufactured the latest Nexus 6, and LG made the Nexus 4 and Nexus 5. While Samsung manufactures Nexus S and Galaxy Nexus. HTC makes the first Nexus device ‘Nexus One’ which is launched in 2010.
Coming to the Nexus range of tablets, The Nexus 7 (2012 & 2013) was made by Asus, while Samsung made the Nexus 10. HTC manufactured the latest Nexus 9 which is launched in 2014.
As we can’t confirm the details, we have to wait until there is an official statement from Google or Huawei.
