The rumored Android powered Nokia Normandy may be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress that is going to start at 24th February this year. The company has scheduled a press event for next month’s Mobile World Congress, and it’s during the February 24 gathering that it could launch the rumored Android Normandy Smart phone. Do keep in mind that this is not about the official unveiling of the Normandy, but we are expecting that because that is the only device being rumored a lot lately.
Nokia sources said that the company was planning the debut of Nokia Normandy in Barcelona speaking to The Verge, this press event date almost matched with the recent leak that said February 25th will be the day to unveil Nokia Normandy. Nokia is handing over is handset business to Microsoft with one last surprise with Nokia Normandy, but it is possible only if Microsoft lets it to do so! Nokia will soon be under full management by the tech giant, accordingly going with agreements when Microsoft purchases the mobile division of the Finnish conglomerate.
However if Nokia won’t get a chance to unveil Normandy there are still chances that it will be the Nokia Lumia 929 which is dubbed as Lumia Icon. There are rumors floating about for three new additions to the Lumia family, the Lumia 1520V, Lumia 1525 and Lumia 1820 and going to be unveiled at the MWC this year. Microsoft will be having a Conference in the month of April and have spotlight on all its windows 8.1 OS devices.
Earlier we assumed that this Normandy will have an Android 4.4.1 KitKat, a 5 megapixel camera and an 854 x 540 resolution display. The Nokia Normandy is expected to come in multiple colors and should be a budget friendly phone like the Nokia Asha. But still no one knows if this device will be unveiled at MWC or not, it is still a mystery because in the 2012 MWC, Nokia surprised everyone with the 808 Pure View camera phone, so we could expect something similar this year at the event.
We are pretty much excited about the phone and couldn’t wait till MWC starts, but unfortunately, we have to wait! So are you are excited? Let us know what you think of this Android Phone from Nokia and stay tuned for more information and updates.
