Oppo debuted in the Indian smartphone market last year and since then has been launching many devices to compete in the highly emerging Indian smartphone market. Today, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has officially launched yet another smartphone under its Neo series called as Oppo Neo 7. The Neo 7 features a similar mirror-like finish on the rear side earlier seen on the Neo 5 smartphone that released last year.
Commenting on the launch Mr Mike Wang, CEO, OPPO Mobiles India said, “OPPO is known worldwide for pioneering technologies and designs and our newest addition in Neo family, Neo 7 is perfect interpretation of it. Neo series has generated positive response in the past and we are confident that with the classic mirror like design and innovative features, it will cater to target consumer who look for latest features at an attractive price.”
Coming to its specifications, the Neo 7 flaunts a 5-inch (540×960 pixels) display with pixel density of 220ppi and comes powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 64-bit quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz. The device has 1GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage that can be further expanded via a microSD card slot.
The smartphone sports an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front shooter that can use the display as a flash for perfect selfie images. Connectivity options on the device include 4G-LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and a microUSB port. The handset comes backed by a 2420mAh battery and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based Color OS 2.1. Its dimensions are 142.7 x 71.7 x 7.55 mm weighs around 141 grams and will be available in colors- Black & White.
The smartphone also comes with some interesting features like the new Lock screen Magazine feature that automatically update lock screen photos once a week with more than 20 beautiful photos curated by OPPO. The device also features Dirac Sound effects that gives excellent sound performance through a unique adjustment of the phase of the sound signal and frequency amplitude. The Oppo Neo 7 is priced at Rs. 9,990 and will be available in the market by the end of this month.
To recap, Oppo recently launched the R7s smartphone at GITEX event at Dubai price starting at $410. The R7s features a 5.5-inch FHD AMOLED display, Snapdragon 615 octa-core SoC, 3GB/4GB RAM, 32GB of internal storage, 13MP main camera, 8MP front snapper, a 3070mAh battery with VOOC flash charging technology and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based Color OS 2.1 out of the box.
