Oppo introduced the Oppo R1C smartphone, on Wednesday in China. The smartphone will go on sale starting from January 20th, and is priced at the equivalent of $403 USD.
Oppo R1C features a 5-inch 720p display screen. The R1C is powered by Qualcomm’s 1.5GHz Snapdragon 615 64-bit octa-core processor. It has 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM, which can be expanded to 128GB. There is a sapphire edition as well has a white version. As for connectivity, it is a 4G cell phone that also has support for dual SIM cards.
On camera front, it sports a 5mp front-facing camera and 13mp rear-facing camera (Sony IMX214, with a f/2.0 aperture). It is also powered by a 2420mAh battery. It runs on Android 4.4-based Color OS 2.0.1. The OPPO R1C boasts a thickness of about 6.85mm.
Last week, Oppo U3 smartphone got certified by TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC) in China. Oppo U3 has appeared on GFXBench back in November. According to the listing, Oppo U3 is only 9 mm thick, which makes it thinner than the recently announced Asus ZenFone Zoom, which is 11.95mm thick.
Oppo has recently released two new devices at the end of last year, Oppo N3 and R5. The N3 is Oppo’s flagship smartphone, and it features a unique auto rotating electric camera on top of the device, while the R5 is worlds 2nd thinnest smartphone in the world at the moment.
